Welcome To My Blog!

Welcome to my Artist Hub and my very first blog post! I've been thinking for a long time about how to best share information with my followers and fellow artists and I think I've landed on blogging. It feels a bit retro, but I'm into it. If you're visiting for the first time, welcome! Here you can expect to find lots of art practice and art business-related topics. I luuurve to share information, and in this space, I hope to share lots of resources and maybe even start some discussions so that we can all contribute information in a collaborative way. I get a lot of questions about my art process and business alike, so hopefully, you all will find this an exciting place to browse and discover.

Here are some of the topics I hope to cover in future posts:

  • Community matters! I'd like to start a list of online artist communities in one place so you can compare what is available and find the right one for you.

  • Art Classes & Workshops! One of my goals is to eventually develop an online course, but in the meantime, I'd like to share a list of online art teachers offering up all the juicy inspiration you could ask for.

  • Business resources! Being the sole proprietor of a creative business can be HARD. Oh, the many hats we wear! I'd love to share some of my fave resources across the internet and beyond.

  • Business tools! There are so many tools I use to make running my art business a little bit (or a lot) simpler. I'll share a list of the ones I find the most helpful and you can share your faves too.

  • Art revenue streams! One art business can be so different from the next and that's because there are so many ways to profit from our art. The possibilities can be overwhelming.

  • Lists of art practice and business-related books, websites, YouTube channels, movies and much more!

But wait, that's not all! Aside from the blog, I'd like to create some group settings in this space where we can work on challenges together. When faced with creative block, procrastination or avoidance in your business and practice, it's always nice to find a little accountability and commonality with others. Watch my artist hub space for future ongoing group challenges for sketch booking, journaling and more.

If all of this sounds right up your alley, leave a comment and let me know! What kinds of things are you interested in learning?
